(2105)Please note: THIS IS NOT A REPLICA ORB and never intended to be. Mine is ALL electronic with no CGI - Video playback loop or Video monitor. In my opinion, this is much more like the Orb should have been.

Mounting a video monitor behind the dome and imbeding it in the dash, is much more of a risk of damage in REAL life, then on a tv show as a NON-Working prop.

I have had multiple requests for information about my "Dome Interpretation" and whether I will be making them to sell. At this time I am not set up to do so and have no plans to build them or have it reproduced. There is no information available on it's construction. This is a prototype with many changes to come. It's my interpretation of the KITT talking Dome consciousness . I wanted to venture out a bit and make my own interpretation of the VOX "ORB" on Knight Rider, using a technique I developed about 5 years ago.
Later, I will be adding horizontal red LED's in a VU meter/spectrum effect as well. The "Light Box" is made entirely of acrylic using no flashlight style reflector. Even though a reflector would be much easier to use and may still accomplish the same look, I just like doing things different and much more complicated (proprietary concept).
I wanted to do it with LEDs instead of a computer, visualization program and small video monitor behind the lens.

I still may try using a video playback Ipod/touch or small video playback "frame".
