By ifckmepudding [Affiliate User] 1227454256 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDid you change any of the dimensions/ ratios of the paper? Although there is some flexibility in the ratio you have to be aware that what is shown in the vid is at the limit: if you extend the upper part only a little bit you can not do the "spring" bit without tearing it a little. So if you make the fold shown at 0:33 a little off the middle and use the shorter bit for the "spring" part you should be ok... hopefully ;)

By barbabellaatje [Affiliate User] 1227209261 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYes! You can have the "star" on the inside and have the flat surface (more or less plain, you of course can see 5 triangles that form the bottom) on the outside. You basically do the same as in the vid but reverse the rim of the box before closing the ring... if you know what I mean... ;) I tried and it went really well :)
By barbabellaatje [Affiliate User] 1227209218 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehey! I'm kinda starting at origami and I just want to ask a question. what it I don't want the bottom part to have the "star"? I mean, what if I just want a plain bottom, is there any way of doing it? thanks :)

By ifckmepudding [Affiliate User] 1226803499 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI am sure it would work very well using thin gift wrapping paper (even better than the copy paper used in the vid...) just make sure that ratios are about the same (do not need to be exactly the same) good luck ;)
