So a few fellow youtuber's have asked for a couple of videos on my 1960's CONN Artist 721 Theatre/classical organ. It's amazing the classical/theatre organs from CONN (Models 710-865) are more rare today then their line of theatre organs. Amazingly, the Posaune 16', Quint 1 1/3, Fagott 16' and Trumpet 8' sound considerably realistic. the organ has five internal speakers (one on each side, three on the front. The individual tone generators add that very slight 'detuned' sound in the 2' and 1' ranks for more realism.

A Christmas song, including the built-in leslie speaker in the organ.

    Sounds very nice, strong and majestic. I definately would not be able to fit one like that through my front door or my back door for that matter ( haha ).
    A couple types of brand organs that I rarley see anymore are the Thomas organs. Also I remember when I was a kid, a brand name called Orcana Theatre home organ that was displayed in a depatment store way back in the late 70's and I have never to this day seen one since then. It had a horseshoe type cabinate.

    Ironic as it sounds, I've just listed it for sale on used-victoria. It's presently in storage in the church and it's time to let someone else have it who will play it more. I'd quickly get evicted if I brought it into my apartment. ;o) Although trying to get it in the elevator would be enough of a fiasco...

    Conn was the first organ I played on also... about the same size as the one in the post but it was made in the 60's. I would have to sneak on it after church when the organist left. He would yell at me for "messing" with it. I mostly would just blast out some chords. But he was also nice and took me to see Virgil Fox. That I will never forget. Another great post Nigel, thanks.

    Amazing Job on that Conn. A Conn was the very first organ I played on when I was like 6 years old, in a small church in Cajun part of Louisiana town. Memories.
