hey sakuraba is good as against the gracies, he knows thier game simple, is he a better fighter, i dont think so. i think royce deserves credit for adapting to the new mma and giving it a go. sure eveyone knows bjj now and they are all great strikers in the ufc, but he risked his name and went in again, sure he was too old and lost a few fights, at least he gave it a shot and doesnt sit on a computer saying how crap everyone is, they are all great.

Sakuraba beat Royler Gracie in 99, then beat Royce Gracie, Renzo and Ryan in 2000 (and broke Renzo's arm). There's a reason this guy is nicknamed "The Gracie Hunter".

Something just seemed wrong with Sakuraba in this fight. He looked slow and not energetic at all.

First off, anyone who doesn't consider the possiblility that Saku, along with most other fighters competeing in Pride trained with sterioids is naive. Secondly anyone who doesn't think Sakuraba is a bad A knows little about MMA. Thirdly, if Royce used illegal steroids it would not give him an edge, it would make him competative. Finally This was a good bout between two legends and for that reason it deserves better than for us to jaw stupidly over it.
