I was feeling a bit down and had just finish a promotion at the polytechnic for the CHOICE program after a long day from work and was having a late night dinner with my auntie's family(my family is back in Malaysia) when I saw this commercial (it was already half way though). I became very touched and inspired...

You dunno what you are talking about. It was a wonderful video; it is realistic, touching, and well acted. I really wonder what you mean by cheap; the video portrayed a simple single family living in an old HDB estate. If you think the video looks cheap due to the setting, can I assume you are one of those born with a silver spoon in your mouth and never had to lift a finger to do any work, and probably never think of wearing a pair of shoes less than $100?

she had to be a bit of a pain sometimes -- because we all are -- and the whole point of it was that even though neither the man nor his daughter were perfect, we could learn to love them and forgive them somehow, and so be loved and forgiven ourselves.

i like the part when the little girl went to snuggle behind her father... she was quite cute if we leave out the part of her being rude to her father...

Its reflects the love of the father to her daughther even though he couldn't provide her all the things her heart desire...
Of all the things her father gave her i feel that its the love that matters most cos its the most precious thing a father could give his child...

I like the part when the little girl snuggled to his father. :)

So if big budget = good work, so far how many Hollywood so-called blockbuster has been successful?

I've seen Yasmin's works done for Petronas, and I believe she does her job professionally as a film director. The only dif here is one initiative is by a private organization while the other is not. The importance here is getting the messages across, and fatherly love is just one of it.

I like this advertisement very much. I can really relate to it. Some of us are not born well off. Thus, we treasure the value of love, family and make good use of what we have. Being poor has its qualities and make us better individuals in humility.

Looks like a real cheap work. How much was spent on this cheapo stuff?
