Best Oscar De La Hoya Video EVER!!

Oscar used to be fast, but never as fast as Pacquiao, maybe if they would have been the same age for example we could have witnessed a really challenging match for both fighters, I think De La Hoya in his best days was stronger then Manny, but Manny is the fastest.

All I can say is that Oscar made a valiant effort and I hope this fight helps him realize that he is no longer at the top of the food chain in boxing, he should retire and just enjoy his money with his family.

Well, I can understand why they would support him and hope he would kick ass, I my self HOPED he would win, but I knew Pacquiao was by far better then the Oscar of today, maybe a 2001 Oscar would have put up a better show, maybe a 1999 Oscar, who knows, all I can say is that reality is what it is and when it comes down to sports age does matter, its human nature and that can't be changed.

Maybe experience would have helped Oscar, but if your body isn't up to the task, then its over.

I know I wont miss a Pacquiao fight from now on, I love good boxing, De La Hoya can no longer deliver, so we have to move on and thank him for all the great shows he gave us, he deserves respect because he was an Elite fighter in his time, who fought the best and won many times, hes not finished but he is not Elite any more and the best thing he can do is retire, I hope he doesn't turn into a Julio Cesar Chavez and further ruin his record.

As for Pacquiao, I look forward to his future fights.

i was REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAALLY hopin he would win so people would know that he still gots it. but like he said at the end of the match, "My heart wants to, but my physical abilities just arent responding."

I don't see Pacquiao as the underdog, I knew he was going to win since the fight was announced, but as the De La Hoya fan that I am I had hoped he would put up more of a show and not just be able to stand up for 8 rounds.

Pacquiao is a great fighter, the best of his time in my opinion, there shouldn't be any doubt, I expected him to win, but deep down I hoped he wouldn't but reality is reality and things can't be changed, all we can do is enjoy the show.

I have seen it happen to many boxers before, take Mike Tyson for example, in his last fights it was obvious he was done, Julio Cesar Chavez is another example, and many will do the same, today it was Oscar's turn, I hope he retires because his glory days are gone.

It's understandable that every fighter wants to keep on fighting, but they have to face reality sooner or later, same thing will happen to Manny one day, its a shame, but its the inevitable end every athlete comes to.

I'm a De La Hoya fan, but I did not have high expectations of him in this fight, his time is long gone, hes no longer the golden boy in his 20s who amazed us all, Manny is just faster, stronger and has more stamina then the golden boy of today, in my opinion Oscar didn't have a chance, but I think it was a valiant effort on his behalf to take that fight and there's no dishonor to retire on that note, he gave it all he had left in him and Manny was the better fighter in the end.
