I trust my own ears too, lol. I did go back and listen - and you are right, that is a 4 blade. I had not listened in a while, so I should have listened first. It is however a commercial aircraft, and while I agree the sound is consistent with an OH-58D (not 58), I wouldn't bet the farm. You bet yours;)

Alright, let me try to do this one more time. I'm telling you that the sound effect is that of an OH-58D (four blades). The OH-58A/C had 2 blades and in itself had a distinct sound. The sound effect from this video is a 4 bladed aircraft, whether it's an OH-58 or not. Trust me, I know the sounds well...I understand that you made the video, and you think you know, but you are mistaken. Just trust me.

the OH-58 is two blade, its the 58D thats four blade. the audio is a two blade rotor, and as I said, likely the commercial 206 version. And I like the sound of a Huey, I know it well, lol.

Good attention there. I couldn't find a good 60 audio clip! Hard to find, due to the turbines and wind overpowering the rotor sounds I was looking for. I used the audio from a two blade commercial bird, probably a Bell 206 (although it could be a surplussed 58 converted for commercial). I should have used a Huey, lol.

No, you're best using what you used. The Huey has too distinct of a sound. The sound effect is definitely an OH-58 (four bladed). They're sound is also distinct, but not as well-known as a Huey. Good video.

The air force uses .50 cal and minis and only the 160th SOAR in the Army uses minis. The regular Army uses the M-240H.
