i take it you didn't grow up with senators' kids. the families i know DO have a problem with it. when you've been in their lives, you know them... not as the guy on capitol hill, but the parents of your friends. if you have that same connection with these people personally, i might listen. until then...

Republican voters (of the extreme right wing variety) need to get a clue. Republican politicans have no problem with marriage equality, same sex couples or same sex couples with children (think Dick Cheney's immediate family). Republican politicians only use marriage equality as a way to get money and votes from the extreme right-wing of the party.

Have more respect for the office of the presidency. I can't imagine ever calling the president's spouse and daughter "Scum of the Earth"
