ninjas didnt hate samurai. it was the other way around. samurai disliked ninja because they felt they fought without honor. AKA 2 on 1 or do whatever it takes to win

you are right about the assassin part but the ninja ddint really hated the samurai they are only hired to kill kinda like merchanies

Yes. Xianren monks came from China to Japan and became/influenced yamabushi, thus influencing ninjutsu, though the history is sketchy at best. I would argue a similar history led to many arts in Japan as well as China.
