I'm a little new to Boston Legal. Was there a precursor to his gassing at the end? I mean, for a completely random breaking o' the wind from a leading man on a series is not the norm. Just curious. Anybody see the full episode?

Yes, it's true Scientology was only made into a religion for tax benefits and to continue practising medical fraud unchallenged as well as many other SCAM related reasons.
However, I do believe that it fits the broad description of religion, which is "a group of adherents that follow sacred scriptures." In my view Scn does fit this definition, but still doesn't make it any less of a scam or any less dangerous.

Theroc, I wouldn't even consider Scientology a religion, but a plain SCAM. They declare as religion for the fiscal benefits.

The advice no $cientologist will ever give you: visit scientology(dot)net, visit xenu(dot)net, come to your own conclusions!

The good thing that did come out of religion was that the basic teaching of morals. How ever religious scriptures should not be taken literally. Is it not more advantageous to follow something such as Chivalry and Bushido?
