I wonder why some people feel obliged to crticize extraordinary perfomances like this one just to differentiate from the others. This boy is gifted because he plays the guitar very well, this boy is gifted because he is able to make feel emotions to people and there is nothing to add. Moreover, he mustn't be over than ten and I don't understand the interest of disparage a child...

That's what I meant to say...he's just playing the song. That's all, it's not very special. Everyone knows that the melody of popsongs are very easy and monotone...
I'm not saying he isn't good for his age, I'm sure he's talented and all... but he isn't as good as people commenting here.
I just want to say, there are probably ten thousands of kids from his age who perform stuff like that with a far better sense of groove and timing...

He's just playing the melody and some rhythm fills? That's the song. His approach sounds good. Its a skill to be able to play a song written for a whole band without need for accompaniment.

His timing is dead-on, and he keeps a good groove I think. Props to him.

Okay, to answer some questions on my previous comment... First of all, we're not talking about me or how I was playing this when I was 11. Second, I was just critizising the way some people worship this kid without realising that he's just playing the melody with some rhythm fills with his hand.

Sure, you can call it his way of interpreting a song, but when you do a cover of any song, you must at least keep the timing and the groove steady. And he's not doing that at all!

You are quite an amazing guitarist. And it's not just for your age... you're one heck of a guitarist.

Ok i think i have seen every single video of this kid playing guitar...and im still amazed when i see him play like he does...however for a while now ive been trying to figure out what that writing on his guitar is...

For the last time, we're not talking about me. We're talking about this guy playing guitar.
Furthermore, I feel obliged to criticize this performance because lots of people think he's the next guitar god. In fact he's just an eleven year old kid with a little more talent for guitar playing than the average 11 year old kid.
Like I said, people always overreact when someone is playing a nice tune.

Are you saying that his play makes you emotional (what, where you crying behind your PC)? I can hardly believe it makes anyone emotional because he's basically just a machine playing notes. There is absolutely no emotion or groove.
I was pointing out that this version wasn't his own. He just studied this piece and forgot to give it his own interpretation.
