cool thing about macro photography, especially wildlife/plants is that you dont have to give a S**t about the background, as ull be using spot focus and blur everything thats not in focus anyway. thing is, it looks better too

Well all of these are over a year old, and no, you're wrong about the symetry. A combination of negitive space, directionality of your subject are most important in determmining where you place your subject in your frame. It all verys depending on where you're trying lo lead people's eyes aswell.

Let me give you an advice, the eye don't like images to be too symetrical, so try to use the 3/3 rules, you can make great thing.
