Lift up and back instead of just back. this is probably why you are missing the feet and getting the floor instead. Another way to try is reaching one arm up and back a (like swimming the backstroke) grab your heel with the one hand and reach your opposite arm straight up so you can feel the lifting up feeling instead of crashing back. let me know if this helps :) thanks :) tara

One option is to keep your head in line with your spine instead of dropping it back. Try to relax as much as possible in the neck while keeping it in line. Also lift up through your upper back like someone is pressing up between your shoulder blades (like a serving tray). I am also going to do a video for you of a camel variation that is a good warm up and also gives you more length in your spine (and neck and head). :) thanks!
