What I get from the Bible, reading all through the Acts, is that it was comment practice that once you had repented you were basically baptized right away, the same day. Read Acts 2:38,41; 8:12-13, 36-38; 9:18; 16:33
That is the practice of the early church and I feel they are our model to follow (not traditions of man which can be seen to be different than the Apostles model in the book of Acts)

Christening is usually done to a baby or small child, and obviously it is not a matter of choice for the child but for the parents.
Baptism is a matter of obedience to God for those who have accepted Christ's free gift of salvation. There is a matter of contention over whether it saves you or not. I will know for certain when I meet my Saviour face to face.

some good christian bands i know are pillar, third day, david crowder band,newsboys, and skillet. there's more good christian bands out there too,but those are all i can think of off the top of my head. there's also a pretty wide range of christian music styles out there.

You do NOT have to be baptized to go to heaven. Just like what katatonichill said above. It is a statement to the world that you are following in the steps of Jesus. Basically a profession of faith.

well you don't need to have been christened or baptized to go to heaven. because you get christened when you're a baby so it would be very difficult for a lot of people to get to heaven, but it is good to get baptized as in the bible it mentions that it is important like somewhere it says go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Lord... (something like that anyway).

If you remember there was a thief who was dying on the cross next to Jesus - he asked the Lord to forgive him with a sincere heart and Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise...that man was not baptised but he trusted Jesus for his salvation!!! Being baptized is your statement to the world that you have committed your life to God - read the first four books of the new testament in the Bible (pray before you read ask God to open your heart to the Word of God)

i ahve a question... do you ahve to be baptized or chrissened to go to heaven?? im a christian but im not chrisened or baptized or anything
