fish is healthy to eat - very low in bad fats. Not one of those guys is in bad shape.

I was in CA about two years ago. We went fishing outside of a reef in San Diego I believe. It wasn't very deep, about 20-30 meters and I caught this strange fish. It was all red. But a different shape than the Gurnard you guys caught in this movie. It had the shape of a Bass-sort of, with more fangs. The captain told me it was a very rare fish and took my picture, but I cant for the world remember the name of it. Do you guys know what it was?

When you keep trolling while you fight the fish you end up drowning the fight out of the fish. I would rather pay money to go fish at a trout pond with a ultra light than drag 5 lb. salmon around with halibut gear.

didn't see anyone bleed any of those fish. it sure makes a difference in quality to bleed them with the heart still beating. The fish at the beginning were dressed very nicely, just didn't see much bleeding going on.

hey if u want to catch big spring slamom come to kitimat bc the fish in the vid is small the spring salmon in kitimat are in the 50 to 60 pound range

This kind of fishing (trolling) really isn't much fun on a crowded charter boat. Sure, you get fish, but many times end up losing the big ones because the idiot "stern hogs" won't move to get of your way when fighting a big, heavy slug King against the speed of the boat. Give me California style drift mooching with sliding sinkers and light line any time! Plus, the salmon are much, much bigger when mooching outside the Gate in the summer/early fall.

I hope I can go with this group and enjoy what theya re doing. Wonderful video!
