Poet, peacenik and Beatle John Lennon created a national furor when he and Yoko Ono announced a non-violent protest in bed in Montreal in 1969. It was a shocking televised sleep over! However the long-haired Lennon wasn't happy about the colourful coverage Canada's conservative press gave the concept.

    I don't like yoko but I certainly don't hate her. Shes done bad things to John and horrible things to his family (especially cynthia), but she did help fill the void of his mother's death and was there at his time of need when Brian Epstien died, so thats a good enough reason not to entirely hate her.

    You are so wrong to put John Lennon politically or musicaly because he had some personal or family issues. He was open about his flaws and mistakes, and constantly trying to improve himself as a person. He gave up his career in the late seventies to raise Sean. This is a quote by John about Julian in a 1980 interview
    " He's here, he belongs to me, and he always will." People who didn't grow up with the Beatles don't feel the same connection with them as those who were alive at the time.
