Hmm... Well then in my opinion it sounds dumb, G.U.I is more seems discriptive.

does it matter if it sounds stupid, my uncle is a software engineer and thats how he pronounces it and he specifically said "those who say 'G.U.I.' usually don't know what it means" but im pretty sure you know what it means.

Gooey sounds completely stupid... It sounds like someone's trying to be cool by making an acronym into a word... Just, just don't do it.

that is totally wrong, look at the word, its pronuce "gooey" most ppl that say "G-U-I" dont know what it is or just havent learned yet.. but it is prounouced that way.
