Dude, it ain't Continental or Air France's fault. It's the sucky airports ground service that they have to sue, it's their job to run on the runway to make sure it's cleared of any objects, cause just like the concorde crashed, it could've been the DC-10 from Continental also that could've crashed because of something that fell off it's engine..

What A Beautiful Bird....I just wish i could have flown on her...If they ever make a newer model or something like her i will have the first ticket..

They keep whining that it's too expensive to take them out all at once and fix them. In the meanwhile those decrepit airplanes are endangering passengers every day. I'd frankly love nothing more than to see all 6 US based legacy carriers go belly up simultaneously.

You've obviously never flown in a US based legacy carrier. Their planes haven't been updated since, oh, 1985, and they feel like they're going to fall apart right on the runway. Poor maintenance of a Continental plane caused the crash of concorde. Continental is thus the proximate cause of the deaths of 113 people. Continental should pay.

I believe that US based legacies would rather see a plane crash than take it out of service for a day or two and fix defects.

i mean if a wonen came to a danish court and said "i whant to sue a microwave company cos my cat died when i tried to dry it in one" he would larf and say "women, go get a new brain, i have more important cases to take care of"
you cant sue a air company for a disaster, or at least not in europe... ofcourse the'll try to fix the plane befor taking them out... next time think of what our saing...

I hope that one day Air France will sue Continental out of business for this (or the relatives of the concorde crash victims). The concorde gets grounded because Continental is too incompetent to make sure their decrepit planes stay intact during takeoff? That's wrong on so many levels.

As SxclilAussieBabe pointed out if the conocorde took off on time he would have beat the DC10 and its falling parts to the runway. That delay was caued by engine 4, which worked perefctly. Fate is a mother

The crash was only a part of the reasons why they took it off the sky. Consecutive supersonic travel made the outer skin thinner, and overall the plane was too expensive to maintain and caused money loss.

Until this day i still cant believe that concorde isn't flying anymore how sad and what a pity. tu-144 ended 30 years before sadly too on 1973 paris airshow. I will never be able to say goodbye to concorde because it proved itself a trustworthy aircraft and for some piece of metal they never fly again! What A shame and pity!

What a sad way for the great concorde to retire. My condolences to the victims.

Im not so sure this is what really caused the crash. I suspect it had something to do with the engine being repaired, just before takeoff - It was the left engines, wasn't it..

this is bullshit! because of an american piece of S**t airplane losing a part and leaving it on a runway to cause this horrible disaster now the greatest airplane ever is just a memory

Only one severe crash of the concorde, and they put it out of buisness. and it wasn't even their fault! I think the conccorde should be a reality, not a dream R.I.P. to those who lost their lives

Profoundly sad. In viewing this, I am reminded just how fragile and temporal life is.....we are just a heartbeat from eternity...
