  • Larry could also ...

Larry could also play, and did also play, power forward. One could certainly make a good argument for Barkley, but
Larry was better overall at both ends of the court--and there's no way I'm leavin' the Doc off my team :) .
Whadda ya say to this for a second team: a prime Sir Charles and Nique at the forwards, Hakeem in the middle, and Zeke and The Glide at the guards?

  • I got MJ 1 & MJ 2 ...

I got MJ 1 & MJ 2 at the point and shooting guards respectively. Down low we got Larry Legend at power forward, the Doctor on the other side, and The Admiral working the middle---They're goin' up against Oscar Robertson and Original Clutch Jerry West at the guards, Wilt in the center of things, and Bob Pettit and Elgin Baylor more than formidably flankin' the big man---and I got money that says this game's goin' to at least triple OT.....Kudos on this video post, its mix, and the music.

For the sake of a little YouTube ( :) ) order, and also along the lines of the "Magic or Michael--Who's Better? Who's Best All Time?" thing(s), here's this:

  • Man, is YouTube on ...

Man, is YouTube on crack? or is it my computer? My replies aren't showing up where they should. As far as your question about who is better between Magic and Michael, it's hard to say. Both were superior players, were crucial to their teams, could do practically everything well, seriously clutch in the 4th, could completely take over a game. I remember watching programs of both on [Demand Cable] and thinking about how I'd forgotten just how good they were. Saw both play a bunch. I'd take either.

  • How the heck did ...

How the heck did that end up there? I hit reply to something on page two of the comments...This video is sick...All this talk of who's better than whom--I think the Showtime Lakers could have taken any 90s Bulls teams. I also think the '91 Lakers could have beaten the '91 Bulls had there not been the injury problems with Scott and Worthy. That Bulls team could not have double-teamed a healthy Magic and Worthy. But there's no doubt that Mike and Pippen and Horace and the Bulls were great.

GREATEST POINT GUARD? More like the Greatest Basketball Player Ever...Magic would've been an NBA ALL-STAR at any position on the court..Kareem and Magic are the two greatest players to EVER play the game of Basketball..For all you Jordan Worshipers..The Showtime Lakers would've DESTROYED any of the Bulls Championship Teams..MAGIC AND KAREEM THE GREATEST PLAYERS EVER!!

  • Magic Johnson isn't ...

Magic Johnson isn't the better that Kobe, isn't better than Jordan isn't better than ... isn't better than.. For me Magic Johnson is the gretaest player i ever saw. He plays not only for the team with assists, not only can score from the other side of the court, not only can play against all five of the other team he plays and gives to the fans what they want to see for every side that you can see it. The guy is just MAGIC and nobody can compete him. For me is the gretest player ever !!

  • Magic was really ...

Magic was really something special! And yes, Peyton and Stockton were outstanding too! But...man! cmon!. he was 6 foot 9 if I rmbr right. Ah hell, I'm old and haven't followed ball much since then but hows about a "How-ya-do" for those 79 Sonics. <-- a shameless plug for my home-town :) But seriously, Gus and Dennis Johnson were a GREAT double hreat as guards.. Ok, go ahead and flame me... No, I don't think they would have beaten "these" Lakers but they were DARN good!..

He's great!!! but he's no "Magic". Just my opinion. Magic made everyone around him better. Those were the best years of the N.B.A. in my opinion.

  • Thank you! finally ...

Thank you! finally someone agrees with me! the Cavs would be probably the worst team in the NBA if it wasn't for Lebron. he's a copy of Magic, but he has to be more of a scorer on his team;D

  • Lebron is a point ...

Lebron is a point guard actually, a pass first & shoot second playmaker that starts the SF position for the Cavs... he is in a very poor team where Scoring doesnt exist from somewhere else besides Lebron.. so Lebrons Scoring priority is much bigger right now than Magics was, even then he gets 7-8 assists a game, but he is really a 25 ppg, 11 apg guy like Magic was... give Lebron at least one PF/Center All-Star and you will see a MAGIC-CLONE...

Ohhh... the "Baby-Hook" This is a fabulous contribution... thank you! I don't think any team will ever match the talent of Magic's best Laker years. Well maybe MJ's later Bulls teams but still...

  • You hit the nail ...

You hit the nail right on the head. He had the best all-around team, because he MADE them that. That is what made him so great. He made his teammates what they were. And he stepped up much more in big games. Does 42 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals as a rookie without Kareem in the line up do anything for you? That was to win a championship. Oh yeah, IT WAS ON THE ROAD TOO. Stockton and Payton were great point guards, but if you think they were better than Magic you are stupid.

  • he has rings, ...

he has rings, because he carried his team to the finals, and he won them aswell. Stockton and Payton couldn't carry they're team alone. Stockton had one of the best power forward (Malone), and so did Payton (Kemp. Byron scott, and Worthy were average without magic.
