Classical Guitar lesson - Barre Technique

This lesson demonstrates the common problems when using barre chords. I hope it helps those may be struggling with the technique.

Main points to remember when executing barres -

1. keep finger straight and right before the fretwire

2. make sure finger is not "curled" in the middle - this causes buzzing on the inner strings

3. keep elbow behind the barre and use the weight of the arm to press (not just the thumb and fingers)

    Dude, I sooooooooo need to find me a teacher again! Man, this looks really helpful. I can't wait to go get my guitar and try it. Bar chords have been a challenge since i resumed playing classical as my main choice of music. Went through a steel string and electric phase there for a while and the narrower neck and different set-up does make it easier to get sloppy and still sound ok. thanks for posting.
