"Ganymed-Musik ist Musik aus dem Weltall" (Austro-Rock-Lexikon). Von 1978 bis 1980 zählten Ganymed zu den Superstars der europäischen Musikszene. Die Leser des "Rennbahn-Express" wählten Ganymed in den Jahren 1978 und 1979 bei der "Starwahl" in der Sparte "Gruppen National" zweimal auf Platz 1 (jedesmal vor "Waterloo & Robinson"). Bei den letzten Konzerten (um 1981) spielte der auch nicht ganz unbekannte Hans Hölzel Baß bei Ganymed.
