Two Ski Jump out Barefoot Skiing Start

ya def looked smooth on the jumpout. i like that ratio for the speed it sounds acurate. i way about 170 and a like to foot at about 37. and jumping out of two is definitly the most fun you can get on the water. what a rush bether than deepwater starts. or a fast slamon run

Bomb outs are a great adrenaline rush, ive seen video of guys doing them backwards. now that would be scary.

Thanks. That's my passion. If I could do that stuff all the time (and make a good living) I'd do it in a heartbeat. Or, at least, for as long as my body could hold out (you'll notice the video clip doesn't show the crash at the end...)

Deep water start = lots of fun but, yeah, there are those moments (or split seconds) where you wonder how this one is going to turn out. Great fun, though. Wish I could do all this stuff more than just once or so a year...

That formula looks pretty accurate to me. I'd say, though, I'd want a little more speed for a two ski jump out than for something like stepping off a slalom ski. My fiancee (driver for this video) recalls we were trying to get as much speed out of the boat as possible...

Barefoot speed....take your weight, divide by ten and add 20...I'm 185...185/10 = 18.5.... 18.5 + 20 = 38.5 = my barefoot speed.

Thanks. That was done behind a decent tournament-type inboard ski boat that we rented, and I'd say it was going about 40 mph, give or take a couple mph.

I weigh about 150 lbs.

I hadn't tried that trick for probably 20 years, and I'm not even sure I've stuck it successfully in the past, but that time it just worked. I was more surprised than the people in the boat were.
