Yes, this is the idea I think should have been picked up. What's more, it allows not only this card but future card ideas along the same lines and I think that Alan likes ideas which are self propelling like that.

Absolutely. As soon as it was mentioned, I was struck by the fact that not one person picked up the pure illogic of it. It's just more waste that, at best, will have to be recycled.

That said, it could work if it came with seeds or (completely impractically) tree seedlings and the paper was able to be planted to fertilise the seeds. I have seen things like that but I've no idea how successful they are.

How about a card to congratulate people on coming out of the closet? Granted, it could go terribly wrong...but hey, it is original. I think?
