The point is for something that is suppose to be "Chicano" music, it sounds suspiciously like "Black" music. He hasn't added anything that can be identified as new & different or Mexican/Chicano. And if a Black musician were to remake a tejano or mariachi song, it would definitely have that "Black" flava.
