Lucid dreams can occur spontaneously. In this video I give a description of a few methods for consciously inducing lucid dreams. Lucid Dreaming can be a means for personal transformation because this special state of consciousness brings together the conscious, subconscious and super conscious aspects of oneself for more open communication and awareness. One can more easily access highly intuitive perceptions, commune with the archetypes, and even use lucid dreaming as a launching pad into out of body (OBE or OOBE) experiences.

  • Don't worry about ...

Don't worry about having really clear dreams to write in your journal. Write about your efforts to recall in the morning. Write about what you would like to explore in your dreams - questions you might like to explore or have answered in your dreams.

  • Write in your ...

Write in your journal everyday whether you remember anything or not. Write about how you tried to remember and how you lost the thread. Then write about what you would like to dream about, and maybe even pose some questions or situations you would like to explore or have answered in your dreams. Try it!

  • I totally agree ...

I totally agree with you, pamlange. I can remember all special dreams but it´s so hard to remember the normal dreams every morning. Today I woke up just after my REM. Some pieces of memories flew around in my mind. But then boom and I forgot everything. I thought of some words like school, family, friends,... But i couldn´t remember anything. That S**ks ! But sometimes when i see or think of some subjects some pieces of my memory return. But it´s not enough to write it into my dream journal.

  • Keeping a journal ...

Keeping a journal is the hardest part, as dreams escape my memory so quickly,it seems like maybe only seconds pass and the dream is gone. I seem to forget as I try to remember, and if I do not repeat the dream in memory during the day, it is gone from my memory all together. They only dreams that stay with me are the ones of people who have passed and visit me with encouragement and love. They are "real", and never leave, as I can "see" it again, over and over, in my mind.

  • If during sleep ...

If during sleep paralysis the body is asleep and the mind is awake, then you are really close to lucid dreaming. If you do happen to experience sleep paralysis, try to stay calm and use this state of consciousness to enter into the lucid dreaming state. Just remain relaxed and observe the internal flow. Eventually a dream will form around you.

  • While I respect ...

While I respect that you must have experienced sleep paralysis and it was scary for you, I think that sleep paralysis is a bit more rare than having a lucid dream. Please don't let this comment scare anyone from becoming more conscious in your dreams. Lucid dreaming can be a powerful and very enjoyable experience.

  • This is a matter of ...

This is a matter of the development of your Self-consciousness and self-awareness. You develop these through observing things from a detached perspective - a perspective from which you are not identified with what you are perceiving > I AM ANGRY vs. What is the source of this feeling? Sit in meditation and observe the body, the feelings, the thoughts. Develop the skill of detached observation.

  • I suffer from ...

I suffer from terrible nightmares and sleep paralysis about every two years and it last a few months. My doctor told me to keep a journal. I can sometimes control my dreams now. During some nightmares (the word "mare" means a demon) I can quote scripture verbatim in my dream and this usually turns my nightmare into a positive dream or awakes me.
