I dont understand this comment. How underlining the very fact that the Christians are the wealthiest population segment in the world when looking at wealth distribution through religious membership leads to this kind of answers? It is a mystery.
D'Souza wants to sell stuff and as he is smart, he picked the wealthiest segment of the population, this way, he is getting rich himself. Just a commercial move.

I dont think I've ever heard the claim that becoming Christian makes you more wealthy. If this is true, and making money and creating wealth is a good thing, (which we can probably agree on) then this is fantastic and more people shoudl become Christians.

They probably represent the most wealthy b/c there are more Christians worldwide than any other religion. If both Christians and Muslims made the same amount of money but there were more Christians, they would obviously have more money.

Besides, are you talking about Christians or Evangelical Christians. I would think the latter since they are what seems to attract the most attention from atheist attack.

For making this (even if it would only make sense when either religion/atheism is a central point to the war) you must provide a list of countries that you feel as being atheistic regimes.

Atheism in the modern sense was largely unheard of in Biblical times so there is really nothing to compare. Theocracy, which is what you are referring to here, was also largely unheard of.

I am speaking more of the things atheists point to that make the case for secular society. They point to crusades, spanish inqusition, and witch trials as the smoking gun of America's storied past of theocratic regimes.

Dinesh is a total hypocrite. HE says that atheists are crazy for saying that 95% of the earth is delusional. Well WHAT do Protestsants say about MOST of those people... THEY'RE DELUSIONAL! the "classic" big bang theory doesnt say anything about the beginning of energy and or matter. it "only" describes space time expansion (from a singularity). mister dsouza got this one wrong since he relates his arguments to the "classic" (i assume here) bb theory. from relativity theory we know that matter/energy can exist without time. the question of causality is a tricky one here.

What is your point? People have always used religion, and secular ideologies to oppress and impose their will on the weak. It is the PEOPLE perverting these religions, and idealogies. Communism was suppose to support the brotherhood and economic distribution to all men, but what a failure that was. We take our democratic form of government in this country, and try to impose it on the rest of the world. Does that mean that the democratic ideals were bad? No. Your comments are without merit.
