How can we as human beings come up w/ cures for many sicknessess??? A miricle of God??? I don't exactly know, but it's not in the bible... I'm tired of people not taking the initiative to study science and just jumping on the bandwagon of religion to explain the origin of life. That's just plain laziness, one book (the bible), 100+ books for the explination of how life works on earth... You be the judge.

I'm not defending religion. The war "of" terror must never be allowed as solution.
I'm only saying that in science there are some postulates taken as basis to build on, it's called paradigm. Some experiments contradict these paradigm and now is time to adventure some new idea to solve them. In this way the paradigm works as doctrine.
I'm very agree with you that a religion based in fear is used only to control the people.

Science is NOT religion, it's based on evidence gathered from observations in the PHYSICAL world (religion is based on faith, the mystical world). Science is ANYTHING BUT closed and has accepted 'doctrines." That's the whole point of science, it NEVER closes, it changes all the time as NEW EVIDENCE is gathered (and then religions have to conform to the new realities that science discovers).

I'm confused, is that the ideal to live, to live in fear? The population is "in line" by being scared, so supporting nuclear weapons and 'wars on terror' is the way it should be?
