come to think of it I have every studio album aside from pop and the one right before pop and i dont think its on any of them (other than rattle and hum).

Hmm, jealousblues, which studio version did you hear? If I'm not wrong, Bono recorded two versions. One was with U2 in 1987, and the other was around 1985 if i'm not wrong, with Keith Richards and Ron Wood. The latter is bluesier and more percussive. I have to say I prefer the latter.

its funny how people react differently about music. Ive heard the studio version and thought nothing of it, but the rattle and hum version is just more alive. To me its just one of those songs that are better live, it rocks more or something

You have no artistic or any other sense at all! this tells a story, a story of how the band really is, on- and offstage! just watch the damn dvd top to bottom and stop whining about a music video! Its not about the video, its about the sound and the message dong-head!!!
