By all means, I'm not trying to detract from the pain she must have had. However, add a testicle or two between your pelvis and that balance beam, and you have a pain you couldn't even begin to imagine if you weren't a guy.

That's really sad when you work so hard at something and it's all thrown away b/c of one mistake.

even if you mess up once, so what, the other team might score, but you can still catch up later. not a chance to do that here. and if you like seeing people get hurt, why dont you do it yourself so you can see how hard it really is

its such a tough sport, and its so badly criticized because they make it look sooo easy when its actually really hard. ive seen so many gymnasts cry not because of how much it hurts when they fall, but just because theyre coaches expect so much of them and they feel they let them down after practicing for sooo long. also remember that unlike football, basketball and other sports, when you make a single mistake, it usually enough to make you lose. just ONE mistake...

agreed, what they all do is amazing and every professionnal of the world has fallen and hurt themselves, making fun of them is just stuoid

I truly admire these people and what they do. but they should at least understand these dangers that could happen to them
