There's nothing wrong with accidental killing. However, creating stronger and more effective ways to kill people, is a terrible thing nobody should be doing.

B.) He then kills you, because you only shot him in the leg

C.) ANY time you hit someone in the head, there is a chance that they will die.

Keep something in mind, police take an average of 5 minutes(even longer in my personal experience) to arrive.

Also, the assailant is high on drugs.

You would not, if you had a pistol in your hand, shoot the murderer, to prevent the death of the innocent?

Think of it this way; "it's wrong for him to kill someone, but not for me."

Even if he is going to kill somebody, you killing him is doing the exact thing you want to prevent. Lethal force should never be used under any circumstance.

nice. I believe each explosive round would have to be individually licensed as a DD, assuming one could even obtain them. As for the gun, we'll likely never ever see it or the rounds for sale to the public. Nonetheless, I'd like a drum for my Saiga, and a few cases of those rounds. Someone said "psycho".. No, just a reasonable response to an unreasonable threat. Oh well.. I'll just have to make do with the Saiga and whatever kinetic rounds are at hand.
