  • High revving means ...

High revving means high noise! V8 powered cars are usually very quiet and very smooth. 4 bangers were (and sometimes still are) loud because of the constant high revving it takes to get the car moving, and they were very rough.

The only plus is the good fuel economy. Although I average about 25mpg in my V8 Aurora.

  • V8's are almost ...

V8's are almost bulletproof. Built heavy duty. American V8's have bucket loads of torque, their low revs reduce wear and tear. Japanese on the other hand have higher revs and are engineered to be just a hairs breadth away from failur. High revving too. it all depends on your application

  • Excuse me!? You ...

Excuse me!? You have got to be kidding me! American V8 are usually the longest running engines made. I mean, I have a Cadillac from 1967, that was owned by a normal person, and the v8 engine still runs to this day!

I have seen countless crappy Japanese cars from the '90s that are BARELY running. I have a car from the early 90's with a V8 and it runs like new, smooth and powerful!

Sure imports are much better now, and I would consider one, but just blatantly saying that V8 S**k is WRONG!
