(Best viewed on the high quality setting and on full-screen.) I forgot I had filmed this (in September '08) with my camcorder set on the "sports" setting, which helps slow down rapid movements. Now I've slowed it down even more on the computer so you can see the individual wing-beats (up to 75 times per second at their normal speed!) I can't wait 'til the hummers return again this summer!

    Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the reminder about using the high quality viewing setting. I always tend to forget that's available, but I've just added a reminder about it to the video's description. Using the full-screen view also helps a lot too. Those little buggers are just so small and quick, it takes a lot of work just to see how they actually operate! ;-)
