We have some wild parrots in Whittier, California too. They might be Quaker Parrots, they're green and sound very similar. They like to get into the large pecan tree in my backyard during the fall, but they can't open the nuts and end up just pelting the roof with them. It's like they're throwing rocks at the house!

My Quaker parrot appeared in my backyard one summer, I made friends and brought her inside when the weather got colder. She was someone's escaped parrot, but she would never tell me where she came from.

Yes. There's one very tough-looking bird in there (he shows up in the "parrots in the snow" clip as well) who reminds me of Joe Pesci.
