This is Queens Of The Stone Age playing at Glastonbury, in 2002. This was with Dave Grohl on drums, and quite possibly one of the best, or at least my favorite performance of "Avon".

Note: Dave Grohl does not use a double kick pedal in this video. I'm only stating this because before certain comments were deleted from this video, people believed Dave was a "double kick pedal" user, something Dave has never done and/or will not do. He has said so himself in various interviews. I am a drummer myself, and what Dave does in this video does not require a double kick pedal at all.

Damn, that is tight. I forgot to mention that Dave Grohl is without a doubt my favorite working drummer of this time period. Sure I am a Bonham fan and many others, but Grohl just shows such passion you cannot help but love the song.

  • Just be glad that ...

Just be glad that Josh hasn't kicked it on a heroin overdose like Mr. Staley and you can have the privlege to bitch about the quality of Era Vulgaris or Dave or Nick being gone or whatever. Quotsa is one of the few great bands of today. Enjoy them while they last. They are incredible live, get there while you can.

  • If Mark Lanegan ...

If Mark Lanegan could come back, along with Nick and Dave, that would be the best lineup of these guys EVER! yes, most of the bands success has to do with Josh and Troy, but Dave is an awesome drummer and Nick is a good bassist. altho the new bassist is just as good if not better.

  • haha, yeah. He's so ...

haha, yeah. He's so inspiring. Love the guy. (Saw QOTSA last night by the way) I think Bonham was incredible! Peart as well, he's amazingly skilled. Copeland is alright, and Keith Moon is pretty good. For me, its kind of like, if you appreciate the band more, than you start to appreciate each single musician more. I'm not a huge fan of The Who, so i cant really get into the Moon as much. Its hard to explain, im sorry.
