This is a video of a new test oscillator I am making to work with my HHO cells.
Simple PWM CCT

I have 2 PWM's left at my site if anyone needs one! eliminategas(dotcom it's a 15 amp PWM.
By eliminategas [Affiliate User] 1219307312 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFrequencys add up to 76 Khz, a pic runs 1/3 clock so at 20 mhz thats around 6 million instructions per second that allows 78 instuctions to make 1 pulse, so it has plenty of time, to do that an other things. on the parallax pic you can make color video out the port, runs at 50 mips. Got some ATmega32 20mips. Opto couplers a 6n136 1 mhz, around a dollar.Free ones in old SWPS will do check specs. That Byce core looks expensive. A E core or pot core easyer to wind. Check manuf.free samples.
By whstark [Affiliate User] 1214671920 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYes I have broken a number of PSU's up for their ferite cores but if you look at the Boyce system he uses real large cores that cost about $50 to $100 each and the windings have to be real precise.
He uses 3 frequencies (10.7kHz 21.4KHz 42.8KHz) which was something I was looking at doing before I heard of the Boyce system.
Will a PIC handle 42.8KHz I seem to remember looking up that a 555 cannot get that high.
Maybe an optocouple will also have a problem I don't know, feel free to PM me!
I guess even easyer is take an old computer with a parallel port and write the program in basic, or a new one in Visual Basic and convert to littel micro later. could isolate from MOSFETS with OptoIsolator. Also I got some great ferite cores and FETs from broken Plasma TV switch mode power supplys to play with yesterday fould out the cores from tv flyback trancsormars come out easyly to use for pulse transformars. Alot of good junk out there to canablize parts from.
By whstark [Affiliate User] 1214660719 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI didn't know much either about the pics, so I got a PicKit2 for 50 dollars, has a Usb programmer and a proto board with 4 leds, pot, and a push button. code with it to learn, has code to read pot voltage, pulse leds etc. First day of use. Then I found a program there AN1074 tech note to pulse a RGB led to all colors, and adaped it to the board and had 3 leds pwmed fading in and out in 2 days. The RGB program is 3 PWM ocillators in software, Already mostly done for you.
By whstark [Affiliate User] 1214658494 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAh yes the PIC chip problem is I don't know anything about them and am too busy at the moment to learn.
Quite right though if you know how to use them just I see a lot of complicated stuff done by some with no better result than a NAND chip and $5 worth of bits.
What I am playing with when I get back to it is multiple outputs probably not even using transformers, just an experiment I want to try a bit on the lines of Boyce but for a fraction of the cost.
I guess what iwas trying to say, it would be more accurate, up to date to make multi-PWM with a Pic or atmel cpu for 5 dollars, then wire RC timing circuits to feed a MOSFET to drive the Meyer type toroidal transformar, and diaplays are 15 dollars you could even measure current, voltage and with digatal flow meter or other types of output indicators measure hho production and if you wanted a few rotary ajustments put a digatal pot or use the analog inputs with a potentiometer.

By 0ddba11s [Affiliate User] 1214530451 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveA fun thing to build, with 555 timers, gates,
or a computer. A pulse generator can be made with of course transistors, but more parts. What ever makes your boat float. Seems like your having fun.
Fantastic video!

No efie..No pwm..No money back!
Tell your HHO friends to use caution ordering from these folks.
After the Meyer type transformers the voltages should be from 0-30k volts anything higher will blow my caps and diodes on the voltage multiplyer. Variable voltage is something most don't have but Meyers did so I followed him on that one, plus am using a water flow pump since Meyer pump the water through his too.
By h2opower [Affiliate User] 1202562330 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemine is three phase and each phase has full Meyer coil set up going to three tube sets of three with the center a solid bar. So that would be three in parallel, just like Meyer. Once I learned a bit about Dingles work I saw it works a bit better and added it in. watch?v=RQNrFUnQmnw Our systems are simular but I use tubes, but he does show it working on a small scale. I just made a lot of improvements to the whole thing, but he gets some of the energy used back something I am going to have to do.

Are you putting 120V on a series or parallel cell?
Now you need to make it so the FETs have a variable voltage control so you can raise the voltage at will from 0-120 volts. That will put you where you want to be, trust me. In Meyers' circut I replaced the blocking diode with a voltage multiplyer, and use 16 gauge wire for the chokes to get the most out of the skin effect type resistance.

Thanks
