By thomasready 1222560014 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAwesome story! This is one of my favorite songs because it almost transports you to a different place.
But then again, many Pink Floyd songs do that.
i cant explain it (ive tried to my wife) i was leaving New Orleans on business the weekend of Katrina and it was midnight with the windows down and the calm before the storm and the wind with this song playing over the lake was very sureal...i just cant explain the feeling...i kept replaying the song all the way to Hattisburg, MS.

i hope they go 2 Seattle, the prolly will because walters lives hear now a days
I heard it right out of Nick Mason's mouth a little while ago. Dates are being negotiated. Looks like next year. :)
By JamezBaller [Affiliate User] 1208038566 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFor real? Are they really going to tour again?
By DrCarl [Affiliate User] 1208001590 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIndeed- though The Wall was somewhat harrowing, there were other albums showcasing other human emotions. I mean, Piper at the Gates was an example of them playing around with their psychedelic image.
Pink Floyd rules! And apparently, there going to tour again, with the full lineup (Waters, Mason, Wright, Gilmour). Awesome stuff.
David Gilmour collects plains, and can lead them, too

By sabrefan14 [Affiliate User] 1207861366 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMy comment was rash. I meant to say, you don't need drugs to enjoy this song.
By SPQRTempus [Affiliate User] 1207576449 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhere in my comment did i say this song was about taking drugs

This is my absolute favorite song. Momentary Lapse of Reason is amazing.
By robbynlee [Affiliate User] 1207506091 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI love Momentary Lapse, it's so underrated though.
By Mushroomking1967 [Affiliate User] 1207475082 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat are you talking about? This song is about learning to fly an airplane, not taking drugs.
By SPQRTempus [Affiliate User] 1207375875 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen The Wall is the only album u know then its no wonder you're thinking Pink Floyd is depressing. Ever listen to Zabriskie Point, Piper at the gates of dawn, and the other fantastic stuff with syd? There was a time they think to themselfs, why we have to sing about lucky things even showbiz isn't it? U dont even have to watch The Wall. Understand it!

By bootely [Affiliate User] 1207278491 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSuch an awesome song... It takes me away
By Bogsmoggler [Affiliate User] 1207277131 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat year was this?
By Columbo794 [Affiliate User] 1207151224 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIndeed; A Momentary Lapse of Reason was a terribly underated album, mostly because Roger Waters had left the band after The Final Cut. But Gilmour and Wright did a fantastic job with this song, and others, including "The Dogs of War" and "On The Turning Away".
By JamezBaller [Affiliate User] 1207149207 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWow, look at that mullet on the rhythm guitarist!!! and hes got an ibanez to lol
By lou0sputhole [Affiliate User] 1207060562 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLeave it to David Gilmore to leave Pink Floyd on a positive note. As much as Roger Waters did on The Wall we needed a upbeat album from Pink Floyd and David Gilmore gave it to us. The cause id more important than one man. I see David Gilmore's name on another good CD. Rush, Snakes and Arrows.
