i know progressive auto insurance won't insure an electric if it only goes 25 mph like an american brand called 'zap!'. with such a low speed they are considered golf carts by progressive. a model called the phoenix sut/suv progressive will insure though since it can go 95mpgh

well this is all old news, ZENN has been passed by Transport Canada, its now up to the provincial governments. And ZENN will hopefully be launching cityZENN fall 2009 which will be able to travel up to 125 km/h (CND highway standard) and have traveling range of 400 km on full charge. Once this happens, governments will be more likely to accept the car, I can't wait! They are estimating the car to be between 25000-30000 dollars, very modest i think.

The US may allow those cars here, but the leadership here is just as corrupt and pathetic. Zenn would sell more cars here than they can possibly build, and I'd buy one myself, if only the car wasn't limited to 25 mi/hr. To be a serious product, the car's gotta be able to go 50 mi/hr, and the Big Oil lobbyists know it! So they have congress block the car with laws, pleading "not safe over 25". Hey, if I can to go buy a "dangerous" motorcycle, then I should be able to buy a 50 mph Zenn!!!

Tesla Roadster starting at 105000$, Tesla Whitestar Sedan starting at 50000$, GM Volt starting at 35000$, all those vehicles using Lithium-Ion thecnology...CityZENN at about 25000$ and using a more efficient ultracapacitor technology : I'll by ZENN for sure when it's coming out. It won't be considered a LSV, but a normal car (legal in Canada).
By the way, there will be a retro-fit kit to convert existing gas engine car to full electric car (still legal in Canada)

Unless something major has changed I believe that co gas is not a pollutant. Co gas is all natural and plants love it. They should after all, they breathe it. I'm all for reducing pollution but people are going brain dead.

It has been proved that even if the electric car is charged with energy given from a coal plant it is better for the environment than a car running of natural gas.

The care isnt zero emission unless the source of energy used to create the electricity is also zero emission, which is not the case in most areas.

I'll take one of those and a Tesla..shucks..why not?! Oil companies even got Canada by the balls..how sad.
