    Yes, it can be tricky. Try to really get a stable connection between the first two modules. That should help, and will hopefully do the trick for you.
    I usually also fix the other two modules with the fingers I don't need to add the third module, and that works fine for me.

    I don't get how you connect the 3 right hand units. After I connect 2 and I try to connect the third one then it all falls apart. How do you connect all 3 without all of them falling apart?

    Yes. With any origami model, really, the paper just needs a specific aspect ratio. You can then go smaller or bigger as you like.
    The first time I folded this I used A8 paper, and in the video I use A7. Dave suggests using A6 or A7. I think if you use any bigger paper than that you will truly get a huge double star flexicube...
