I think bach would like Jordan Rudess and ask for class. lol i like michel camilo than him, well but this is diferent way hehe, but his really good, i love his job, theres not people like him and thats special.

Jordan Rudess has great technical skills and an obvious artistic sensitivity, but certain brutal transitions from one style to another that has no relations wastes a bit his improvisation by its lack of coherence. It's a pity! (I don't like everything in this improvisation, but I especially like the first part, electronic music does not touch as much, but that's just my opinion). Show off? Perhaps a little bit, but not that much.

Anyone who says this is bad needs to go ahead and dive off a cliff and cut their throat on the way down...Yes he's mostly fast paced and show off looking here (He's not a show off) But he is such an amazing composer and musician...i mean this is a solo...its supposed to be flashy and entertaining. Listen to all of his work in DT before you dare talk down to this master...you kids act like you know music...

I totally agree. I play piano and synths since 30 years, and I know that this fusion-rock guy is just behaving like an artiste in the circus (who also trains 20 years for his trick). It's pure show-off, empty, harmonically uninteresting (too many sus-chords with fourths). I am glad that computers have been invented that can be programmed to play faster than any human being. A good musician needs completely different qualities. If you want speed, listen to speed metal cause it has humour.
