I know that this can happen to women due to a hormone imbalance. It is due to producing too much prolactin. And usually an increase in prolactin, in a non-pregnant woman, is caused by benign tumors on a woman's pituitary gland. Even if a woman has never been pregnant this can happen to them. Not sure if this is the case with her but it is one possibility. I've never heard of a woman who continued to lactate years after a pregnancy without there being an under lying issue but you never know.
