    Snowmobiles win because they have a larger footprint on the ground, and no rotating mass forward of the rider. Think about it, only the center knobbies of the tire are on the pavement. Whereas the whole track of the sled is on the ground. And I cant tell from here but some drag sleds put on a rubber track for better traction. Regardless. Its footprint and traction the make the difference here.

    the only reason a snowmobile can beat a dirtbike is because a snowmobile cant flip as easy as a dritbike because a dirtbike has no wight in the front, so it pops wheelies to fast and has to slowdown a little bit.
