Canadians, Juno Beach, I know. But I think they were just as victorious as the next nation. You can't compare one nations victory to another when they both contributed all they could... or like Russia... all they had. Every nation suffered hundreds of losses, but Canada just didn't do anything SUPER recognizable... like the Russians and Stalingrad, Britain the the Battle for Brittain, the United States and Battle of the Bulge which was like... 70% American troops... catch my drift?

Never liked the French government, the people as a whole. Not pointing out anyone specific. But I think they're an idiot nation full of rude, ungrateful baby's...

I will also say this, partially I said what I said because very few people actually know of Canadian contribution during World War Two. Even here, most people state that we were peacekeepers during the war, when we were probably, next to the Russians, the most vicious troops during the war. (look up the 1st SS Leibstandarte Division on Wikipedia)It makes me angry when people underestimate this country's contribution to that war, and most wars that it was in for that matter.

RELAX! What I said, I admit, was definitely not the right things to say. We took bad losses on D-Day due to VERY heavy opposition, the second highest on that day. In the Rhine we also suffered heavy losses and several Commonwealth Victoria Crosses were awarded there. Same thing goes for Holland. The only thing you have said that I don't believe is true, however, is calling me an idiot Frenchie. If you had called me an idiot alone, no problem. But French? Good God man, language!

The way you say it, you mean that everything we had done was for nothing... We're the ones who suffered most of the losses. Plus most of the people that dropped behind the lines were United States Airborne Rangers, and the only reason you idiot Frenches made it up that beach us because they met barely any resistance. ANOTHER THING, they barely suffered any losses on the way to the Rhine. The US did MOST of the work... Bastonge, THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE...

It really pisses me off when people say that; us Canadians, for example, progressed deeper into Normandy than anyone else. Not only that, but we took Holland after Market-Garden fell on its ass. Plus, we pressed into Germany faster than the Americans could manage, having attacked from the northwest in Holland. I am not anti-American, but I am sure as hell not someone who gives credit where it isn't due. My grandfather gave up the rest of his teenage years to make a difference, and he made it.

I'm going to explain three things to this jackass in three different comments, so brace yourself for them.

i agree with shadow but thw war would have been won if hitler had finished off the french and english at dunkirk. lucky for us! :)

Japan was the reason for Germany's demise.When they attacked Pearl Harbor, Germany was focusing more on Britain because they had defeated France, and they already had Benito and the Italians backing them up south of them so they didn't need to worry about that... yet Germany was planning on focusing all of their energy on the Eastern Front because the Soviet Union was so strong. And they would have CRUSHED the Soviets. So it's all thanks to the Americans.

Not really because we never gave up hope but it was americans which became into the war because they was angry when the japs blew up pearl harbour. So even if they didn't have the americans we would still of won because we had the soviet union still in the allies. But the french was scared. But i agree if it wasn't for the americans, we don't know what it would be like now. And then saying that we probably lost alot of men so the americans army helped out alot.god rest their souls.

The allies did great things, and I think you're right, if the United States didn't enter the war, Germany would have won the war, and we would be part of Nazi Germany. You just keep it up, and ignore what they say. Because everyone's a critic, there's no way around it... unfortunately.

iy was allready turning with the victory in the africa dezert and the eastern front in russia. with the american involve, it's just made it faster

of course it was a combined effort, no one country won WWII, but the war took a big turn when the US got involved militarily
