Is the F35 complete???

F35 is primarily used for Bombing ground targets. I recommend you check out Fighter Wing by Tom clancy and other sources for this info. It can be used as an Interceptor if need be, Its not totally a one side fighter. Britain already has Eurofighter so it not necessary to be used as an Interceptor. It can be used with the navy. I think this will be its main use for the navy of JSF member nations

Has this plane gotten a nick name yet? IE the F-117 is called the wobly goblin because it is so unstable, the C5, the aluminum overcast, B52-BUFF (big ugly fat "fellow"), etc. Would love to see this plane for real.

No the f-35 will kill the a-10s

I can't believe the F-35 is supposed to replace the A-10 (among others)! Th A-10 suffers a lot of damage buzzing around at low altitudes. One A-10 can withstand enough damage to wipe-out an entire squadron of F-35's!

The F-35 has half the EM plot of the F-22. In burner, with a light fuel load, it will perform basically as the F-22 does in military. Full of gas and weapons, it is severely under thrusted and has terrible wingloading, just like the mid-C Viper. Depending on the F-16 and the F-15 you speak of, the Albino is more than a match for the LGPOS, high right, fangs clean, skate the merge.

goodnews82; No, not advanced. The public don't know the maneuverbility of the f-35. It has not been showed yet. Probally won't be untill the aircraft start coming of the production line.

The F-35 is not an interceptor. It is a multirole aircraft with an emphasis on air to ground tasking.

I'm sure the Russians are hoping to get more cash by selling nuclear technology to insane, anti-western countries like Iran. I'm sure Russia figured it was ok since Iran is down-wind in case it goes Chernobyl on them.

The F-35 is an advanced interceptor, it is not built simply to execute pretty manouevres in the air.

It probably has better avionics than any plane going around.

Goodnews..this plane is being devoloped to replace the aging F-16 Falcon. The fighters you mentioned are more on par with the F-22. Agility doesn't matter if your enemy can't see you coming! If you'd like to see a real demo of what a thrust vectoring plane can do, look up the Russian Su-37. The F-22 can do the same moves, but you'll never see it in the states. The only problem with these fancy Russian fighters is that they don't have the cash to mass produce them!

can this aircraft supercruise like the F-22? Aren't there some Sukhoi fighters such as the Su-25, 27, 35, etc more advanced and lethal, agile, etc. ?

What a lovely sugar coated advert.. Boys love this stuff dont they...??! Makes them wanna join the military and give up their lives to kill and be killed... how sad... Its seems high technology but NOTHING compared to the secret stealth they have.. and the intergalatic wars that they have been fighting for centuries but obviously fail to mention.... mind you that might tip all these 'boys' over the edge.. LOCKHEED MArtin We have the technology for mass human sacrifice... !!

The F-35 you saw there was a CGI rendition of our X-35 that flew back in 2001, and is now on display at the Smithsonian Air and Space Annex out near Dulles Airport in Virginia. The movie company added a few things for the excitement and that's cool. But the real thing, although it has only one 25 mm cannon, and doesn't engage targets while hovering (too much of a target), will be awesome. Thanks for watching the video and we'll have lot's more!
