He DID know everything backwards as he was "Ginger" when he rehearsed with Fred and "Fred" when he rehearsed with Ginger ;-) She was a great actress who worked hard and learned fast and Fred was the best dance teacher anyone ever had.
By frazzled41 [Affiliate User] 1216940043 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveGinger Rogers (Virginia McMath) was fabulous. She was the perfect dance partner for Fred Astaire in the mid-1930s and early-1940s. What they had, above all else, was that elusive quality called "Chemistry" when they danced. It's very, very rare, and it's why they're so great together. She deserves much, much credit for her movie work and is (was) truly one of the greats. Just my opinion. Peace.

Is it true that sometime it was Hermes Pan who dubbed Ginger's footsteps after filming ? I don't know if it is true so excuse me (Ginger's fans) I don't want to lie about her abilitiies

By ogdenn [Affiliate User] 1216088337 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat quote is widely attributed to strong feminist/cartoonist George Thaves. Concentrate on their footwork once. Fred's feet are moving twice as fast. Ginger's fun to watch, but Fred himself said "She faked it a lot".
