Experiment: Water Bottle Rocket

This experiment is on air pressure. The bike pump is first attatched to a empty water bottle, without a cap. The pump must be attatched tightly to the bottle to ensure no air leaks out.As the air is pumped into the bottle by the bike pump, pressure builts up in the water bottle, Soon, the water bottle can no longer take the intense pressure of the air and the bottle will eventually release itself and fly, like a rocket.

Apparatus:
2 boxes tissue paper (act as support)

1 bike pump

1 water bottle without cap

5 wooden doorhanger (used as hole and directional purposes for pump and bottle)
