yea, you can use the right to remain silent, but thats typically used after handcuffs are on you because not saying anything from the start is guaranteed to piss a cop off and make him suspicious. Only someone from Illinois would try that, you're right. lol

Ok, whatever dude. What I am talking about are the new police - the military wannabes. I don't give any reason for cops to mess with me, except for perhaps an expired license plate. Once I was asked if I had any drugs or weapons in the car...I sat in silence, rather than answer and thus give up my 5th amendment rights. I asked the cop if I was free to go, and he started yelling at me, etc. It turned into an embarassing ordeal lasting about an hour, with about 4 cops. Only in a police state!

It is amazing how people can't decide the difference between the few bad Police Officers that make the headlines, and the thousands of good Police Officers who do heroic and amazing things to better their communities everyday. But, go ahead and continue your pointless stereotyping. You are usually the only type of person Police Officers come into contact with in a negative way.

Back when? I've never known all police to be "honorable". Hell, the use of the word in pertaining to the actions of police makes me laugh.

Police back then were honorable. Nowadays, I'd say a great many people are arrested for "disrespecting" officers, wherein the cops provoke fights, or just flat out abuse the person. Not only that, they employ the taser without discrimination and use pain compliance...aka TORTURE..to shock the person into submission.

I have since learned that anytime police bust drug smugglers, they just confiscate the goods and resell them themselves. a vicious cycle it is indeed.

what are the police suppose to do. He is dead.... take him back to civilization after the investigation and deal with the body. That or throw him over board and feed the crocs
