no vette comes closde ro 145K and bronxboy, fiberglass can't rust, it is made from superheated woven glass not just won't easily rust like you said. And pound for pound it has a lot of strength, I manufactured boats for a lot of years from fiberglass, and depending on the resin mix would determine the strength and of course thickness. But lots of resin makes the fiberglass very heavy. Little boats such as what we used to make were 300-320 pounds for a 4 seater paddleboat.But I do agree carbon fiber is lighter, but i don't know enough about the chemicals that make up the carbon fiber bodies.I assume is has some similarities with fiberglass

when will you ever lern. year after year the vette is crowned #1. tuners hate the vette because most can't keep up with the stockers and 5k turns them into twin turbo fire breathing beasts which they have no hope of catching.

Actually fiberglass is similar to carbon fiber but not as light or as strong. Regardless, I love fiberglass because its still a very lightweight material that does not easily dent or rust like metal.

Many people don't know this but the corvettes leaf springs are made of a special high strength fiberglass as well.

Actually spending 30grand on a supra will get it on par or better, Supra's do 13.5 1/4 mile Stock,Yeah the ZR1 is 1 HOT and Damn powerful car for the price, maybe the Vspec version of the GTR will better it? maybe since the ZR1 is out already. Btw the Tuner scene in the US is S**t , all they do is put crap performance mods and body kits which look outrageous, oh and not forgetting thier Love Affair with "NOS".The Tuning Scene in the UK,AUS,NZ is alot better i must say!.

lingenfelters arent production cars. they are corvettes modded by lingenfelter. if u had the money, u cant buy one, u have to order it and they have to make it. it is not production. plus a hennessey viper kills it anyway.

im just saying the vette is made of fiberglass which is as i just discovered a stronger type of plastic.

What is wrong with plastic? if i was looking for a light weigh material to put in a car it would be my number 1 choice. besides its not like aluminum or carbon-fiber will protect you any better in a collision. "Actually", when you think about it, plastic is capable of protecting you the best.

there are more than a couple. my friends 300zx runs a 10.5 and its his daily driver. once that turbo spools up it makes everything seem like its standing still.

and an ariel atom isnt just a go-kart, we're not talking luxury amenities etc. we're talking production street legal car performance. i could easily say the zr1 isnt great because it only seats 2 and cant go fast in the snow like the GTR.

well if going fast isnt all that matters then why buy a 145k corvette????
