Muay Thai Training - Elbows

uh long step...you put your weight onto your back foot when you stepped then threw your front elbow?
if they are too far your step with your back(right) foot forward at a 45 which puts the weight onto your front(left) foot, then all your power is loaded onto that elbow. it is like switching your stance but you only move one foot.
elbows use the same basic concept as a punch for power, the only punch you step forward and throw on the same side is the jab. and the jab is the weakest punch.

Too much leaning, more hip movement is required, elbows force is produced mainly by spinning the body not the arm.

not in Muay Thai, in Muay Thai competitions, you are alowed to use Elbows, but they are frowned upon nowadays, but you can still use them, dunno bout MMA rules, but still

Well they might, because karate combines every martial arts and then called itself as "Karate"

Don't forgot their ability to cut. Even if you don't knock them out or even stun them you can still cut them.
