No, the coils are different. It's more simple to turn the yoke 90º and voila! We have the picture at 90º :D

You are probably right. Most screens need different voltages for each coil. Like for instance, my old CRT has 1.3 ohms on one axis and 13.4 ohm on the other.

I'm not sure if the coils will behave identically, but this might work, yes.

Did you make your own sawtooth generator? Did you make your own amps for the coils?

Or you could switch the signals going to the coils mabye.

The best way to analysis a sound wave is to record it and use Matlab. ;)

How did you make it? I am going to try making my own as well, with a homemade tube, and some help would be useful. I liked the video; it was really cool.
