Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts characters by Charles M. Schulz will provide inspiration to top designers at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, New York. Isaac Mizrahi, Betsey Johnson and Heatherette are among the list of designers participating in the MetLife Snoopy in Fashion show on Sept. 7. Mizrahi says his inspiration came from Charlie Brown, who showed that being different is as "wonderful and glamorous" as being one of the "insiders." The designers will debut their Peanuts-inspired styles during the show and following the event, the runway creations e auctioned on eBay. The proceeds benefit Dress for Success, a non-profit organization providing professional attire and career development tools for disadvantaged women.
